The Pendraig Philosophy
Our philosophy is simple, to breed naturally reared, naturally raised and naturally superior Anatolian Shepherd Dogs. However, that isn’t enough we also seek to combine this with genetic diversity, working ability, sound temperaments and integrity to what it means to be a Livestock Guardian Dog.
The first step is of course obtaining the foundation dogs for our lines that hold true to as many of our values as possible. We are proud to welcome Shepherds Rest Mehlika to our breeding program, and into our hearts. Mehlika represents almost everything that we want to focus our lines on. She has health, having passed her health checks with no problems. She has an excellent and sound temperament. She has beautiful type and was rated well in her puppy evaluation. She is from import lines as well which will help us achieve genetic diversity from the get go. She’s already an established working dog coming to us from her breeder’s at Shepherd’s Rest in Oregon.
Our future plans are to obtain our favorite lines of Anatolians from all over the world and then later more imports. We hope that you can be here with us to experience this journey.
All of our dogs will be raised following the natural rearing model and you can read more about that in the coming weeks as we continue to update our website and articles.
