The Working Anatolian Shepherd Dog

Anatolian Shepherds evolved as working dogs. They braved extreme temperatures and often harsh conditions in order to guard herds and flocks of animals that other dogs would see as a food source. They risk life and limb with a bravery not easily found and a dedication that is incredible.
As breeders of Anatolian Shepherd Dogs it is our duty to preserve this working heritage. To that end our farm ideas developed. Before falling in love with this amazing breed I had never given a farm a thought. Just a few horses, never anything so insane as goats, and sheep, chickens and even some cattle.
Yet here we are, starting up our farm. Partly so our beloved dogs can be raised in a manner best suited to a livestock guardian dog breed and partly now to follow our dreams of a self-sustaining, eco-friendly farm to feed our family and provide some food for others as well.
The dogs will be guarding a variety of livestock animals and we will document our beginnings. We hope you will join us on our new adventure. This is a dream over 10 years in the making and it is our great pleasure to share it with you.
